How to get the system information on a Mac
To see basic information about your Mac computer, choose Apple menu → About This Mac.
How to Access the System Report
Creating a system report on a Mac is easy. You’ll be creating it via the System Information window. Once opened, you’ll be able to view detailed information for the hardware, software and network of your computer.
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
- Select About This Mac → Click More Info… → Scroll down and select System Report.
- Alternatively, open System Information directly by searching for it in Spotlight (Cmd + Space, then type “System Information”).
