Description
Explore the day and night stages we see every day, in a new way.
The Solar Day provides natural, easy to see time periods. For instance, midday and afternoon. Yet, the solar day reference frame is relative! The solar time periods change their start moment and also their timespan throughout the year!
On the other hand, the Civil Day uses a fixed hourly division of the day, all the year round. The civil day hours and minutes do not change, with rare exceptions. Only so often, leap seconds may be added to align the Civil Day with the natural Solar Day.
